We partnered with processing companies in the EPZ-Athi River to reduce thermal and particulate emissions from their steam boilers. We optimized air-fuel ratios for complete combustion, reducing pollutants. We also installed economizers to recover lost heat and reuse it efficiently lowering emissions' temperatures, along with variable speed drives to cut energy consumption. These measures helped companies minimize their environmental footprint while complying with stringent emissions regulations.
Partnering with with an essential oils processing company at their satellite facilities in Laikipia, Narok and Kilifi, we developed a 4-month thermic decomposition process that converts waste from essential oil production into organic fertilizer. This eco-friendly solution not only helped them achieve eco-certification for organic products but also eliminated their reliance on conventional fertilizers. The fertilizer is now used on nuclear farms and distributed to their network of outgrowers, closing the loop in waste management and supporting sustainable agriculture practices.
